5 Everyday Habits That Lead To Heart Disease


Your lifestyle everyday could increase the risk of heart disease and heart attack. To reduce the risk, we strongly recommended to change our lifestyle that is not healthy. Therefore, we should avoid these five unhealthy habits if you do not want to get heart disease.


1. Unhealthy foods


Foods high in saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol can lead to heart disease. Also, the consumption of salt (sodium) that is too high can raise levels of blood pressure that can lead to heart attacks.


2. Lack of exercise


Lack of exercise can also lead to heart disease. Unhealthy habits also encourages us to experience some medical conditions, including obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Therefore, we are encouraged to do physical exercise routine because it can lower the risk of heart disease.


3. Do not control the weight


Obesity is also associated with high levels of bad cholesterol in the body. In addition to heart disease, obesity can also cause high blood pressure and diabetes. Therefore, people who are overweight are encouraged to undergo a balanced diet so that they can lose weight.


4. Too much alcohol


Drinking too much alcohol can raise blood pressure and heart the risk of disease. These unhealthy habits can also increase the levels of triglycerides, a type of cholesterol that can harden our arteries. Researchers suggest that women should not drink more than one glass of alcohol a day and men no more than 2 drinks a day.


5. Smoking


Smoking can increase the risk of heart disease and heart attacks. This was caused by the presence of nicotine in cigarettes that can increase blood pressure. Also can exposure to cigarette smoke increases the risk of heart disease in nonsmokers.


To reduce the risk of heart disease and heart attacks, we are advised to exercise more than 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) each week. Healthy habits can cut the risk of coronary heart disease by 30 percent.
